How you can help
Volunteer Your Time and Skills

Volunteers are the life-blood of Pueblito! We need you! Because we have a very small staff of 5 employees who are involved in the day-to-day operation of the organization we rely heavily on our team of dedicated volunteers to provide assistance on a variety of levels. Pueblito's volunteers play key roles in helping to fundraise, advocate and spread the word for Pueblito across Canada .

Pueblito holds orientation meetings for volunteers on a regular basis. These orientation meetings are designed to update volunteers on Pueblito's goals and activities for each year. Pueblito's active volunteers join with new volunteers at these orientation meetings to share their experiences and camaraderie.

There are many ways our volunteers can help and use your skills and talents to help us achieve our goals in the countries in which we currently work. Here are just a few ways volunteers are currently supporting us:

RESEARCH – Using Big Database.com
  • Researching foundations, churches and schools
  • Researching Latin American based corporations or corporations associated with Latin America
  • Researching community centers
  • Stats relevant to countries in which we work for inclusion in our publications
EVENT MANAGEMENT
  • Work with Pueblito staff to support organization-driven events such as the Annual Fiesta
  • Plan 3 rd party events – and bring on others who will help you execute the event
  • Assist in the writing of the 3 rd Party Event Guide Book
  • Attend and represent Pueblito at planned events - manage the display area and wear the Pueblito “hat”
ADMINISTRATION
  • Log our photo library book
  • Other administrative and clerical-type duties as needed
LEAD GENERATION
  • Assist at presentations to potential corporate partners – pass on leads for corporate partners
TRANSLATION SERVICES
  • We currently require translators from English to Spanish and Portuguese as well as from Portuguese and Spanish to English.
BRAINSTORMING
  • You may have ideas that will generate public interest and revenues – make suggestions
